Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
! X# l# r9 b, h* I# X; N; kI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
8 Q& G; i% _: A8 R& lAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
. N8 k. e% n( k' z/ |For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,4 ?2 }" p7 H3 p! Y. @
one belonging to me
: f- L2 @' [' cand the other to my Lord.
% A7 C/ z5 ~6 i2 _/ bWhen the last scene of my life shot before me% c: u" g; _* g& F" k- z
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.9 R, f, ]$ O, `. p* {
There was only on set of footprints.2 k2 y2 K" r( @; G; `
I realized that this was at the lowest   o% r8 o. @2 ~6 Z( W: L9 L
and saddest times in my life.
0 E  {! b- f8 h. l: CThis always bothered me ( m; z' W8 a6 ~4 A- }; {# ~) @
and I questioned the Lord6 @, A: x0 ], L3 m
about my dilemma.4 m+ o3 X" X( B6 f7 s. i
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
4 T0 R# z2 u" C5 |% p! l' ZYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
) I  n% e+ ~- A, |9 ~4 c* ~' IBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
7 v& U( ~- A# Z2 f8 g9 Ctimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.8 m) p$ ?* Z' d- U. {
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
0 Z7 W3 u' Y+ \. c/ |you leave me."
5 d2 U9 A2 h$ p' J+ p& \+ WHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,

When you saw only one set of footprints
