One night I had a dream. M$ ^5 h+ Y& Q$ B3 r. W& o
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.1 ^( s  x/ c. h5 r! b
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
. Y* t3 i+ M- _* n  a7 M$ s: SFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,$ `* Z8 c$ ^- |4 H) X9 Z) i/ n
one belonging to me
$ n- M* q3 q7 e0 u1 }$ ^; q0 `- _and the other to my Lord.
4 w9 q' P$ \" u, x2 G) G8 R) j) [When the last scene of my life shot before me
( ?. r' W0 C  [1 B: DI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
0 K9 W4 {; m9 b% OThere was only on set of footprints.
3 J; A; D8 ~8 k0 d* kI realized that this was at the lowest 6 x5 Y! P4 n( X+ \
and saddest times in my life.
8 Y9 J- M9 `' k3 z- oThis always bothered me ( t$ K9 ~, c9 a  `1 x& a9 ?
and I questioned the Lord& n* I& I7 m  O0 f
about my dilemma.
( H  P8 {) I6 s6 a1 H4 r"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 ]& e- x4 B8 y2 g
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
5 o$ n. t; x" S5 l  gBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
! B  O% _( o0 ~' Vtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.1 p$ x" r7 F, c! v+ u: o% l
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, * \; U8 b6 ?+ S2 S
you leave me."* w" \5 v7 K; \; @8 t" q" _
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,# D, k% B# ?* M2 v4 K
I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints
