9 z% h  X4 g) C$ NI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
/ E1 o# J& l1 w; iAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.2 `1 p" \% V7 S3 |4 ~/ Z4 b
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand," s3 h$ a' w5 n; v. s
one belonging to me5 G/ P; a( N( N& w+ g' ^+ z
and the other to my Lord.
' H. V5 \: G9 A5 U8 g  V2 |When the last scene of my life shot before me
9 n: s# Q: k: o* C4 I5 rI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
' |4 q( f; ]( C6 i. NThere was only on set of footprints.4 o! ~' W6 ?0 k6 c. k. N: l. Q
I realized that this was at the lowest
+ w  k, K8 j1 G3 ^# nand saddest times in my life.
4 `/ C1 S, f& Z8 R/ wThis always bothered me
- r5 ?! Y$ e) O  Pand I questioned the Lord
# N! q; s/ v' M3 labout my dilemma.
, M. ]3 o- x6 @% ^"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
/ k+ t# `7 T) z" f0 M1 HYou would walk and talk with me all the way./ I5 @7 H3 L! t* W. _# L" m
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
9 V5 O4 G; e( j- wtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
1 O1 D# {7 T+ U1 E! a- m" cI don't understand why, when I needed You most, $ M0 W1 o. Q: w% }# }
you leave me."
7 A6 L& I- e0 s; M. r2 K2 C/ BHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
