Footprints in the Sand

7 v" S1 S4 i1 U1 [8 Z: `One night I had a dream
1 F4 o) B8 @8 x1 q. c7 r3 J) II was walking along the beach with my Lord.
, h  D* U, i& L8 [4 c1 y& Q& ?Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
& Z+ _( x0 q# Q; X5 S5 YFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
. M1 I( i) G# p) h0 E& eone belonging to me
% f4 s/ K. P4 A; f4 Iand the other to my Lord.
5 h- j6 c+ p" d& @1 _- d) M& VWhen the last scene of my life shot before me3 t$ b. o9 z; e6 a, T
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.: `6 D4 _3 P" S, i: _
There was only on set of footprints.8 X, k5 F$ _- h* N  D1 m& e
I realized that this was at the lowest
  v+ w  r$ S' `/ m6 kand saddest times in my life.3 A$ ?* M# e/ s; Q6 L0 R
This always bothered me
( _8 d4 N, d4 i, qand I questioned the Lord
2 f) S& `7 H2 k7 C2 uabout my dilemma.- V: [" t( P. {1 C$ R9 a9 N
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 h* B3 c: F( k9 z: E
You would walk and talk with me all the way." H" l# G7 z; m7 G2 Z4 M. `* S0 r: @, G
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
. [" c+ M( v, _2 k# M7 a2 W3 Otimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.& e4 z5 [6 E( m4 a# D  a
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, % w1 ?/ H' S5 U4 i: n
you leave me.", t/ \! L! }, t- J5 E9 j% \" s2 X
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,* Q( r2 R* [+ E$ O! J5 l. x+ a
I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints
