Footprints in the Sand

* t" k& @) k; g  O- m+ u# POne night I had a dream
1 p$ U+ }/ \) J1 Z. A+ MI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
8 I3 i% i" m2 U$ MAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.0 S( _/ J6 y: g
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
; B7 x5 C' P$ b0 t+ p0 O* N- X9 ?one belonging to me
) [  [1 z/ g/ \, {+ j# a* ]6 {and the other to my Lord.( q: D; N5 X0 o% s) \, v# m9 e! ?
When the last scene of my life shot before me+ |3 D0 c# H2 j1 S/ y# p) K" l
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.7 c0 R0 D* w$ J
There was only on set of footprints.6 m- u$ E% z3 q) M
I realized that this was at the lowest $ B/ O6 v/ z! E3 V+ I& D) i9 R. D
and saddest times in my life.& B, X& t9 G$ Z& J
This always bothered me
+ N9 a: D+ z" v- Mand I questioned the Lord9 r1 L6 b# ?* {" l3 s5 G
about my dilemma.
  L; s1 y: o9 O5 Y+ \# q"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
( N) T$ }2 r: m( b# A! kYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
9 p  L2 n# J3 a4 `( g. UBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
2 D7 S& a5 K: z( L; d( itimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.1 d  y, |7 t  r. m% N3 m% i
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 7 W" A' x* o, F) k3 B
you leave me."

I love you and will never leave you
