One night I had a dream
) k" s0 F2 c1 h/ FI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
" n5 G0 y4 q# m  A3 a3 qAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
- S* p, |- y7 \* Z# `% _5 VFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
% X) f$ Y% |" O! w8 ~one belonging to me) ~" s2 f2 R9 E
and the other to my Lord.. {, G8 i* Z( p' ]1 x- y) x
When the last scene of my life shot before me
6 ?7 h7 l4 n- KI looked back at the footprints in the sand./ H+ t4 l4 x, q: ^, e# D! D' }, L
There was only on set of footprints.) z" A; \) U! ?# r# y
I realized that this was at the lowest 0 r6 @" Q$ Q) Z# D/ ~0 f) z; v/ R
and saddest times in my life.2 b) J" E+ `5 ^4 C0 o
This always bothered me * a: x" V! E- [0 _5 I
and I questioned the Lord
- _/ Y1 C! [, D/ I9 Yabout my dilemma.
/ D" k1 o: G! F6 C5 S' @# z& ]% V"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,% ]: M$ @; p2 z0 }. h0 v; I
You would walk and talk with me all the way.7 H6 L4 q' b+ \$ \9 R+ a
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
% u1 J  T6 ]: U  V  f$ btimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.+ y$ a) n7 B) z. T& j1 h8 |! O
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, # I  Z5 L- R0 H$ B9 F5 a$ w
you leave me."
