One night I had a dream8 H- G# a8 ]( k+ o' t2 J
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.1 V# d3 {6 t7 y
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
7 q3 b8 M0 _) v4 @* B: M0 RFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. i3 E" ?: R. }$ ]# a; r3 K5 m4 f
one belonging to me" N7 k: ^' T) n: J
and the other to my Lord.
! B* r- [- F5 OWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
1 y" [6 a* c& f4 e% ^7 C5 MI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
# e% O' s: _- y% B% sThere was only on set of footprints., z* ^) d4 E- S! q/ Y8 y
I realized that this was at the lowest . z- u% ^7 b; O# a5 j4 g& B7 U- n: C
and saddest times in my life., M3 f1 ^0 k' h# P; g
This always bothered me 4 c6 \) c* w& X6 a- \4 ]
and I questioned the Lord
9 m! t( q& }+ E4 X  \0 xabout my dilemma.
3 ~2 L. Q, ]. e( }  d" U"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,4 n7 S6 n; x7 s1 m2 ]
You would walk and talk with me all the way.: C0 X# q1 X4 @6 [6 t/ A
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ; ]0 J) N: ~" K+ M
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.0 I; Y3 N3 h0 `; m1 Q; G' a3 I
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, / u3 ]! i$ O' X% h/ i4 ^
you leave me."7 b& v: t  S5 T7 s- T; ]9 E. H
