One night I had a dream
4 v! E' c. j: Z  a; S* U3 {, ^I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
  x$ V/ _" x+ z: hAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.1 u. x5 x; V3 S
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,& B5 r) u, g, X% Z; |5 h7 T
one belonging to me3 V" E3 V- A+ `
and the other to my Lord.' P: Y! h; }& J; O
When the last scene of my life shot before me
& ^. m" e4 K( K4 j7 g& ^/ WI looked back at the footprints in the sand.: `* d* Y9 K4 p. s7 S+ n' K
There was only on set of footprints.
& ]6 x- s; y3 l* nI realized that this was at the lowest - g' V! \7 B# O
and saddest times in my life.
& U5 H8 {- w( y) j2 j: Q: kThis always bothered me 7 W$ t+ G. o( Z! N4 H
and I questioned the Lord8 H4 |+ l' G8 y) Q( Q# _4 ^7 w* g
about my dilemma./ m# A5 a# X/ V( i- K/ Y
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
2 P9 ?6 D( ^% V- X" EYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
+ H8 n: U3 @$ i0 D$ ?* f# \But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 0 K; a& w7 h  `7 A5 b2 C  X
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
( p! f5 c2 J) k9 q5 wI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
3 b6 t( G# G: y% c4 F1 f) r3 Gyou leave me."
7 d: k5 L5 s; U- @+ B1 WHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,( a  u" f, g! N& j5 v6 a9 e
I love you and will never leave you
