Lord,
0 |% E7 A* F* e. o; fhaving transformed
6 Z: K7 E+ g4 p- ]% d3 y- G# K0 |sunshine and soil and water and seed,
! v3 V8 h* c# b$ l: Finto food upon which we are soon to feed,
% v O1 j, \8 G& d2 }we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
! V. m& b3 r% C' |/ Y7 [( N! yso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.4 e" Z' q2 O+ A7 [0 \# A5 A% _. E& b
We who came first and are ready to dine+ ~* |" `. p9 y2 S, g8 u
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, 5 j) `: R4 J7 O4 M
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, / h4 f' {: T4 H' I% o
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.7 e4 w+ D$ O6 Q. |
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 1 S! |- k; u7 x1 V8 R. G, H2 w' O
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.1 ^( }, G* x4 Z2 K
Now,* W+ j4 z& l; D+ X* [0 i. g
We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted 7 l5 _9 ?+ r' D' Q% R
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted , |# c* K: W0 B
We thank you for people so generous and kind
