你的6个月访问学者身份结束以后，就像amandazone说的，可以通过旅游/学习/工作签证来延长你的在加居留身份。我个人认为申请旅游签证没有太大意义，因为这个签证你不能打工也不能上学，只能白坐着给加拿大经济增长作贡献了。根据现在你所说的情况和加拿大移民政策的程序的处理速度，我会建议你6个月访问签证快结束之前就申请好学生签证，学什么当然看你的兴趣和对将来的打算了，这样如果是1年左右的课程的话，你马上就可以拿一个3年的工作签证，然后，再工作一年你就可以用经验移民的方法申请了。这样理想情况是大概3年你就可以拿绿卡了。否则的话，就是像其他朋友说的，用投资移民，结婚移民或技术移民的方式了。

关于你提出的用学者身份买房的问题，不用担心，你是完全负责资格获得加拿大银行的贷款的。详细介绍可以参看我在“投资理财”板块里的这个帖子。http://www.victoriabbs.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=13472&extra=page%3D1

但是一点是肯定，你是否在加拿大拥有物业，无论是对于你任何一种方式的移民都不会有帮助。

lina, 有一点你弄错了，学一年的课程，只能拿到1年工作签证，学两年那两年，3年那两年工签，4年的才是3年。。。。。
加拿大政府不是什么都给3年工作签证的。。。

嗬嗬，我们都不对，我search了一下，实际标准应该是这样的：

Impact of length of study in Canada and the length of the work permit

A Post-Graduation Work Permit cannot be valid longer than the length of time you studied in Canada. For example, students graduating from a four-year degree program might be eligible for a three-year year work permit. Students graduating from an eight-month certificate program would only be eligible for a work permit of eight months.

If you studied for…	Then…
less than eight months	you are not eligible for this program
less than two years but more than eight months	you may get a work permit for a period no longer than the length of time you studied (for example, if you studied for nine months, a work permit may be issued for a period of nine months)
two years or more	a work permit may be issued for three years
