The Asian population is not big enough for two asian-oriented supermarkets.
Plus, Fairway is good enough and since 1960s. It is pretty powerful on the island. It just doesn't make sense strategic-wise for TNT to compete. Similar idea to why Fairway doesn't have a store in Vancouver, although they tried before and failed.

TNT is acquired by Loblaw now. Going on the same path as Thrifty Foods.

Have you tried the relatively new store on Quadra and Hillside. That is the only Fairways I go to. It's a relatively better one.
Less than 3% of the population in Victoria is non-Caucasian.
