第八届维多利亚国际手风琴节于2014年7月18－7月20在维多利亚举行。三天活动安排如下(见附件）：

7月18日 2pm-4pm;  来自各国的选手比赛;  地点：First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Rd. Victoria
            8pm          优秀选手表演; 地点：First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Rd. Victoria
7月19日11am-1pm；比赛获奖者、维多利亚手风琴俱乐部乐队、维多利亚儿童手风琴乐队，特别嘉宾表演（free event）* M; i1 z9 ?' `1 B
                              地点：Market Square, 560 Johnson Street, Victoria' i8 U1 C4 z9 ?. v8 P5 {
7月19日 6pm          50－60年代流行音乐，晚餐和交谊舞，由维多利亚手风琴俱乐部乐队现场伴奏。$30 (包自助晚餐）

                           地点：Edelweiss Club， 108 Niagara St. Victoria
7月20日1pm-3pm  讲座，电影“Behind The Bellows"/ `6 e5 Z& \' R7 h

Katusha is a common yet beautiful name for Russian girls. In WWII Russian people fought against the fascist Germany invasion and they invented the very powerful rocket artillery named Katusha. I learned the song in my elementary school and still can sing it in Russian though so many years have passed.1 w: [2 l$ N# G

I played this song about 30 years ago with my old accordion, when I was a university student. The video really brought me back to the happy moment in the university. & {( }) s& `6 {! D# O

I found Victoria Accordion Club (VAC) in 2009 through the Internet and joined the club 2010. I had a lot of fun practicing with the band. The VAC actually started in 2003. Had I known that, I could have joined it then. 7 |# S/ T0 @/ q8 j8 W
9 P& z3 W- v! z" K/ f
Although most of the members are older than me, the club culture is simple and pure for music. I enjoyed the two practices every month, especially the "Jam Session" on every first Sunday afternoon each month. Please check out our website to see if you are interested.

Our band will play 30 minutes at Market Square on this coming Saturday afternoon and our club will host a Dinner / Dance in the evening. You are most welcome to check it out!

Thanks for the invite. I may not be able to attend the event due to another arrangement this Saturday. But if I can't go for it I will definitely pop up in one of those Jam Sessions.

Please be advised that there is no Jam session in July and August. It will resume in September. 9 a/ P$ M6 F% q

I enjoyed as well those young players' excellent performance.

I'm very glad that you went to the event. Excellent picture you took! Am I allowed to forward the picture to the kids band's teacher? $ r) S$ t' `3 r5 Q

Jianan is one of the top accordionists in the world in her age group. She have won many 1st places in top international accordion competitions since she was 12. Her accordion skill is amazing!
