One night I had a dream5 W7 z; D- N0 M6 u+ B- G' o! {) p
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
' C& W4 m; X- E' D& H, LAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
9 a7 @) ^3 o5 _3 r9 M6 vFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,; j* X0 [5 S& i
one belonging to me. @! h+ h: Z5 o  T- f+ V
and the other to my Lord.+ C- E) x' X$ Q
When the last scene of my life shot before me: M0 H6 l. L( O- m
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
8 o0 u& L8 H% W: N" |: k% K3 b6 q" TThere was only on set of footprints.
/ ~8 O- v2 j1 W8 x* Q+ q* W0 R2 m+ oI realized that this was at the lowest ! y8 e4 L: q$ [% N6 Z& n0 v- d- P
and saddest times in my life.
: U" J% y6 G+ O5 JThis always bothered me 8 s+ F) O3 i8 T( Z) l
and I questioned the Lord6 i- o8 Q* y) K3 x- }" p, v
about my dilemma.
! v, {7 W/ ?, q# |- v' P; S, L: T"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' {# F  {" m# {6 B) N& eYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
. n. y$ P& W! w2 qBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
- K+ {9 O6 r" l. ?7 F: m( w4 }times of my life there is only one set of footprints.5 j- F' T) d0 ~! u& E% P0 L3 m
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
  P/ Y8 o" \$ P/ Fyou leave me."
8 F0 [& K$ r" Q, N1 i; f$ yHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
$ s) k9 E4 |8 b9 u' p3 ~4 @I love you and will never leave you
