VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA – It will be All for fun and Fun for All as more than 50 tourism businesses open their doors for the 36th Annual Be A Tourist in your own Home Town, --Wednesday, February 27th – Sunday, March 2nd, 2008.
Valued at almost $500.00, tickets for this always popular, sell out event are $10.00 each or buy 4 get 1 Free ($40.00).
Ticket outlets include Tourism Victoria’s Tourist Information Centre (located across from the Fairmont Empress), all Thrifty Food locations throughout Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, BC Lottery outlets located in major malls in the Greater Victoria and CFB Esquimalt’s Canex Stores.
Joining this year’s offers from Victoria’s long-time favourite attractions -- Undersea Gardens, Miniature World and Royal London Wax Museum for 2008 -- are the world famous Butchart Gardens, Craigdarroch Castle, Maritime Museum of British Columbia, the Art Gallery of Victoria along with a number of newcomers to Victoria’s tourism scene –Red Fish, Blue Fish, The Oswego Hotel and Artisan Wine Shop, each with special offers of their own. Regional museums, gardens, hotels and many others will also participate in what will be a great community event for Victoria.
Be A Tourist in your own Home Town includes free admissions, special offers and discounts from Victoria’s well-known attractions, hotels, restaurants, tour operators, whale watching and retail operators.
