Footprints in the Sand: I' n1 b4 q6 m0 t2 s1 }

( d9 K+ B# a3 S- @0 lOne night I had a dream
' J# E$ }1 H1 A/ s/ G" y/ aI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
" z8 w1 I' u; V5 e) l- B! JAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
& [- l  B. p) p; n8 |For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
4 @1 t0 r. Q2 ^8 q0 bone belonging to me; Z* G* q8 W- v% Y- A
and the other to my Lord., x0 m; A/ O% u6 h( F
When the last scene of my life shot before me
" K% E- G! h& R% _0 nI looked back at the footprints in the sand.$ N) W8 n7 r3 V1 v2 y
There was only on set of footprints.
; w& c; q( ~$ r# u. E, \: \I realized that this was at the lowest
$ J2 M! U. _& k1 P! f- e9 J; h6 a, {1 Eand saddest times in my life.- `' y& s* I( O) u5 U2 a9 L
This always bothered me
, S. q& V' Y- }- V9 D9 Oand I questioned the Lord5 {. x/ A: g- Y8 c. e5 r: ]
about my dilemma.
* _5 K7 x; f/ y  j) ~: f' t6 ^7 ^"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,- R- c4 Y0 x$ U: @" Q
You would walk and talk with me all the way.  d' ~. H8 @% _2 }
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
8 A1 P" j2 D; \0 Atimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.  T% ^+ ?2 X( H" ]# z# H/ X; I
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
; `% F  ]5 m8 ?+ i3 lyou leave me."
* p. I* z3 E% E1 iHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
$ ]9 m$ S; m* @I love you and will never leave you4 a( I- K8 k7 D- F0 d# ]' Y, q

When you saw only one set of footprints
