Footprints in the Sand
5 }5 {* o& W4 ?  S2 F# L, c/ ^% g9 k+ ^2 M6 d! H  j
One night I had a dream! T0 ?- D  ?  G: U8 Z; z
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
! F* b9 ?, i( ]Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
% C. z0 M! ~- Z) j& K2 \6 v5 n: P: [For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,6 H6 h; \; P$ [- ^/ K9 r3 O; L
one belonging to me
2 A& H7 Y8 G/ |" ]and the other to my Lord.7 Y" {  R6 ]6 b& ]  R( m4 e5 J/ O
When the last scene of my life shot before me% `9 v1 t9 c3 K* j8 Y. ~( z: I5 J
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
# X0 F0 ]+ M' E8 J: mThere was only on set of footprints.. M  }% Q5 `, ?3 e# x1 q! x
I realized that this was at the lowest
- \; c# a6 H8 T5 G- `, ]+ Vand saddest times in my life.+ P: {! _! I1 W
This always bothered me 9 J' @8 _# R' s8 N8 t4 _  E% V
and I questioned the Lord
, i4 U$ R, h7 C( ~9 Pabout my dilemma.
0 ~/ s% m  F! j0 j, |0 l- H( z5 Y"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,; o6 I% k& @/ w4 \0 o2 T% ]( {
You would walk and talk with me all the way.( Z$ R% X; H9 G
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
! J3 i) C3 L* I6 O" v4 L) Itimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
2 M/ n! S& e+ ?+ F# Z9 M: ]I don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! s( O7 p/ t. `& S8 u! Q
you leave me."
, X. B; z/ A& y! C: @( n* z$ THe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,# \9 a7 Z$ ^8 r0 w% `
I love you and will never leave you+ @, V$ L) M- z. n. h
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.

It was then that I carried you."* v8 L8 \9 P' j0 o+ Y& N5 j
