还有一点: 如果房东在房客搬走后十五天还没还给房客押金, 除非房客不要, 否则房东应付房客
双倍 (also BC rental law).
By BC law, unless it is written in the agreement or in the move-out inpestion paper that the landlord can use the deposit to do the cleaning/repair, otherwise the landlord must give the renter back the deposit within 15 days, regardless.
If the renter and the lanlord both agree that the place is not clean enough or there is real damage when the renter moves out., the renter then pay for the cleaning/repair separately or from the deposit,
it is the renter's choice.
Of course, if the landlords and the renters are both reasonable people, then there is no need for any law. The law is here to protect people (mostly the renters) when there is a disagreement.
