having transformed& ^* l3 @! f0 X4 T/ ]) E- E6 H9 f
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
# \% k8 X: ?. g+ l9 N/ H4 j+ }6 qinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
" c' i4 Z8 }: Y$ {. r/ v5 nwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, 6 ]4 k8 |9 w! s
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
$ T: H f; ~9 \2 v* V* j( WWe who came first and are ready to dine/ S" U+ h8 |9 T* K
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ( U3 ^3 ?& z8 p% r1 q, X& h
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
" f1 w8 y9 ~' b! F9 E |we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.# x6 y% X, L/ m" _- K8 l
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 2 Z4 E1 K/ W4 |, M: ?: H y
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.
