One night I had a dream
" h$ N2 r9 T3 d( fI was walking along the beach with my Lord.5 R) l5 E, {( }
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
$ c$ B1 {8 t% |1 xFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand," v5 ]' o  i( w" ?/ z( W
one belonging to me
. U+ ?5 @4 G+ ^7 T' w  land the other to my Lord." o9 @7 s! S* e0 i5 V0 q6 H" V
When the last scene of my life shot before me
( S* l! x2 ]5 }" {5 p! aI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
3 w7 I' ^$ d" s5 P5 QThere was only on set of footprints.
. v+ |5 l: F9 t: K* X' q$ mI realized that this was at the lowest
  ], K& f4 Q( w7 b0 ^and saddest times in my life.
+ c4 T( i3 A' W% M, iThis always bothered me
4 s1 l! k; M) @) ^# \and I questioned the Lord3 v( U; i6 A" O5 h# N
about my dilemma., |( T* B/ @- b) D2 [% g9 s" m0 l
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' F% b- [5 h- T, b) k0 pYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
  i7 k0 e" {8 ^& z; ^# P. SBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome
) Z# R1 W8 ]0 A& ztimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
9 I0 k) X! B; p- F, RI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
* s1 n1 v: E4 A. G+ R$ _3 uyou leave me."
8 I( Z3 P# q, J; t& {2 ]0 MHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
8 G6 R( W$ q; c) x/ I0 b2 g( P; EI love you and will never leave you
/ P( @! E- d# F5 ?never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
& h* n3 j/ R8 l1 l5 v1 H& MWhen you saw only one set of footprints* ~7 ~* a1 t/ h9 S  x* `8 x
It was then that I carried you."
