Lord, . Y9 O3 m8 i8 B- Z. n4 ?- W
having transformed
; M# i( |) Z! g* w( {sunshine and soil and water and seed,
4 Z1 t& `1 h; e0 {* `$ H8 cinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
7 Y+ H& y0 w# I: ^, T) P+ _we thank you for life and we want to stay well, 8 B' w( a Z9 h0 B6 X
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
8 e# o; E' C8 h7 ~3 L0 UWe who came first and are ready to dine
# |0 C0 s7 v6 |; A' _) Tthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
: H# H5 O( d4 P4 f( q2 N2 }but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
: |" u4 A7 G8 X1 s4 |we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
9 u! R& Q0 z0 v; w- aInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others ) P9 u- R. x" l6 Y% @
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.5 Q4 R3 z' ]! |9 i z( }' L/ I

4 }/ ~$ s% M" }3 FWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted ' K1 A; V d' X4 G
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted

b: E' ]( h5 ?& B8 e6 b/ D1 Z$ dand thanks for all blessings in body and mind,
