Lord, ' | X ~0 ^; l l
having transformed# ~: d! c& ~ {6 a$ J9 B1 V3 P
sunshine and soil and water and seed,9 Q) K# r! p+ P8 A6 P7 W
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
7 G' e' L/ ?9 [1 N) Y* I" @we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
) F5 ]( M4 ]# \0 pso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.2 h8 I4 D1 G3 Q$ g @: t3 q( {: b
We who came first and are ready to dine% M0 R. n8 S) K+ W# i/ p) _! n; u6 }& |, ^
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, # J0 W' A9 ^9 `3 x R% \" u4 m
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
8 ~6 x: G1 n1 W5 |" w& [we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.: @) K. I1 i# S# H
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
) w6 {. d3 f" e% t5 A9 ?the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted

and thanks for all blessings in body and mind,
