Footprints in the Sand

3 U: `# c5 a( P4 C/ g, `5 OOne night I had a dream
8 G6 z1 G! n7 F. u2 tI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
9 O% C5 `$ |9 D  F- K/ uAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.8 s3 Y9 Q9 h4 ^# }2 i( _# n
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
3 ~( }5 L% W5 ione belonging to me
& U7 N& p6 e+ F# S# b- M$ \! Hand the other to my Lord.
: K# {6 l6 b. f$ wWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
5 h' U7 q8 |: Q, `! xI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
4 V1 ]' U3 D. J4 A6 fThere was only on set of footprints.; J# g) C0 m$ \% t
I realized that this was at the lowest 9 H, O* v3 ]8 m2 P1 o
and saddest times in my life.8 b/ Q/ u0 o( {9 A+ M  w
This always bothered me 2 x) c4 H- _% Z& d; W6 j2 o
and I questioned the Lord
! j" `, J* t) Z" uabout my dilemma." {( C, f9 |3 h) C" f, T' E
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
6 h, C5 x5 F7 [! ?You would walk and talk with me all the way.
; x/ d  \. @* O' h* g$ o6 v& HBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome ) i; r1 W7 P7 i+ M! I
times of my life there is only one set of footprints." R) b$ m( w7 T1 G: |
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 5 w7 R/ ?# H% K1 N, z
you leave me."5 W& r( T  f0 l6 w* E$ B
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,. n0 m0 ?7 \$ Z
I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints! ^( l1 c- a8 ^7 ^7 Y+ I( i
