One night I had a dream
. i/ E: T/ [  wI was walking along the beach with my Lord.+ {. A6 \! s7 P, _6 v. d7 U
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
! v+ V/ J# Z+ @7 z* X. i) _" h: PFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
9 R7 |8 A. Z5 W! Y! j- eone belonging to me# Q: H7 i% l; l8 M% l
and the other to my Lord.7 E8 y, s9 o; J* s: P' R8 T0 B
When the last scene of my life shot before me
! I9 p8 u/ d# z% ?" e2 p* uI looked back at the footprints in the sand.4 q0 N9 k$ C/ {5 q/ [* U5 J
There was only on set of footprints.& f& _% W5 _: t  ?# E1 {0 d0 z5 _% V
I realized that this was at the lowest
# t! E" B* L+ [6 E* Pand saddest times in my life.
) u' j$ s" S4 F) {1 y  bThis always bothered me
& u! ^+ f9 E/ M4 |& Qand I questioned the Lord9 n5 ~" G, r1 y5 T8 b
about my dilemma.
8 _( n: p; M' T"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,' a$ G. P" k0 F4 J% U* ]9 u
You would walk and talk with me all the way.; x  Y+ w' _4 O1 ]+ o/ a$ o
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 4 n* R! B5 O, p* h% v0 C
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.. L+ E5 P+ z* ?" ~: e0 ?
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
) f  T$ Q$ d/ \/ r, J6 Fyou leave me."
. e+ |2 S# I4 k( j5 x% ]" AHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
  R: A. T& |$ N$ _8 SI love you and will never leave you

It was then that I carried you."
