Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
. l7 [- T& |% D4 C6 |6 fI was walking along the beach with my Lord.8 V" ]) @/ ?- K3 b: `
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
' ?$ {) z$ s4 j; x0 l& @! k* `For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. `$ M7 @) s/ |
one belonging to me
- z1 r5 W3 V  ?, f) e, A/ kand the other to my Lord.4 C2 b9 p7 J; G
When the last scene of my life shot before me
, l8 }4 [8 D9 d* G& Z  h' TI looked back at the footprints in the sand.6 L1 y) W4 T) n% U& e
There was only on set of footprints.
) E4 u3 ^- D7 M4 l& t+ ^$ H5 [! Z- _I realized that this was at the lowest
& m0 l# y" }7 d$ D6 Band saddest times in my life.+ w; v9 s: D4 t# X& U' G: X
This always bothered me # V/ J, b" j" I0 l
and I questioned the Lord
7 U1 b( ^2 X5 i* {7 j% V# vabout my dilemma.# l# M9 N3 M1 x. u
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 q+ x: I* Q  K8 F- K
You would walk and talk with me all the way.( z6 I: g4 X* s5 w! d4 E
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome + ?9 i6 f% e. l2 r
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.- n4 \6 O0 a# U  c; _0 D
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 4 C" B% G+ `/ Y+ Y+ s
you leave me.". Q3 _* i& K! ?% S

When you saw only one set of footprints
