Lord, `' t* N- u9 |. W. S
having transformed* D# j& K% r# s9 p" S7 L7 B( K5 U6 w! H* K
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
& r Z- [7 x5 z `0 l- Jinto food upon which we are soon to feed, 9 U/ Z9 G e. t9 X( G! C
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, % O$ ~ D4 ^4 B+ N+ O8 L) N
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
* ]# ` A& g! F+ {* NWe who came first and are ready to dine1 l- U* Q- F6 M" x! v+ |5 d& X8 \6 ~' _
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
$ q8 k# E. `7 S% R3 kbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, % z) q# x% z( ^! W; a( e1 t9 D. X
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.2 C( s- n8 L8 s, C7 Y2 r" f
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others ! @7 r* @1 h5 t8 m `/ h9 p% {
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.9 D$ R2 n9 y/ j; X

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted 4 h7 `) {( ^0 I
