Lord, 2 T' X, Q" [& ~1 R7 j" S1 Q
having transformed
9 T: T3 n, q, s2 ?9 @5 F# xsunshine and soil and water and seed,
) `2 b$ S* r B+ B0 O8 Ointo food upon which we are soon to feed,
6 G' k) W' q' s( P0 n% uwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
( P, \: f. @: p# n5 Kso we promise to rub our hands with Purell./ S8 i8 P& [- |0 r
We who came first and are ready to dine
( H4 L2 Z0 d1 o) b9 k0 w& `thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
4 L$ w a+ K/ G% A, L4 i5 ~2 Z7 `9 wbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
, m( {) b- j& m: O$ n7 h3 n& Swe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
, Z, h8 @7 `+ }! r5 W) v& M1 R6 ?Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 4 O: w7 v7 u, M; y D* U
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

I& k. O# X5 ^( a0 a. \; NWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
" `5 ]' r O1 w- B2 a; u" \the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted ( Q5 K0 _$ i: L& y$ |# t- p. s
We thank you for people so generous and kind
