Lord,
1 }$ V6 b# G* w6 W$ ghaving transformed: n1 f% p- h* ^8 {( f% I
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
5 M0 y5 L4 b" U* \into food upon which we are soon to feed,
6 R9 m7 k. Q( K% M3 wwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
7 P3 V) T; u/ g5 aso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
/ |3 \! v; D/ o M& I6 J1 r3 KWe who came first and are ready to dine
3 A" b: x0 w" J m! D- kthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
" `! E3 f. P% {8 u9 cbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, # ?5 i- D, ~% K6 `
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.9 Y8 X, S$ K/ H
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others $ g0 I! s0 Q, c" U) R
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.2 ~0 U4 J$ ]4 a7 u- X$ m" X

( u0 a1 ?( [/ P W$ c- HWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted / z) v2 f: n; a3 I7 c/ ^6 y
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted 9 y. R: j$ n+ t4 C0 d2 p2 A( Y8 p
