Lord,
& c$ a2 @' t3 r, ihaving transformed$ c. }0 \/ B3 l
sunshine and soil and water and seed,( N+ I- q d; e7 ]) G1 G
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
; k T, z) d; i1 H e( V0 iwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
[3 n8 j: e+ j6 S$ Mso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
% v' h7 x* p) H$ A9 SWe who came first and are ready to dine
/ S, v) S% [* I! L* P; [thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
' D0 s3 f- V% H4 bbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 9 P$ e' b e R6 O! `+ d
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.

the way we were taught by our own loving mothers., s9 m: s! U2 h8 N" ^4 p

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
- X3 B2 a$ j9 t, Zthe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
' D! w+ M2 P# s/ o& K. Y- ^We thank you for people so generous and kind# C% h8 ^' G( N& P* l' i/ ^, m) s+ F
