having transformed
4 F: o% j" N# F+ \9 p$ g$ zsunshine and soil and water and seed,
- Q* r- Y1 {7 P2 y1 H" uinto food upon which we are soon to feed, 6 u: M( H I8 `. o
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, # s" l& ~3 d: S0 k% f/ F$ `/ L
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
2 K9 ~0 s" w) qWe who came first and are ready to dine
0 m9 Q% i8 ~7 P9 t" U" x$ Ethank you that we’re not still waiting in line, # v, s# H) a2 S
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
4 j! l5 i4 K$ Pwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.% r& P! q( D7 J# [! V* U
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
1 U3 B- x1 y9 `5 G( o( hthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
