Lord,
) q7 q, S6 N$ O. bhaving transformed
- t' k" _/ U( v$ esunshine and soil and water and seed,, x# G$ l% {+ m- t) C8 j
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
f5 m/ [' m4 t) g! O/ C; dwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, 0 K; f, @9 ?# X2 w3 @# C
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.( g; p% A; |, l2 W
We who came first and are ready to dine# t7 s" n. J0 d H+ [$ x
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
1 w, ^$ U% s% v0 N9 f/ Ibut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, T8 x/ z3 K: w5 A
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.' c/ ~3 Z& z1 c$ Q; c+ g
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
& c# U6 v7 S5 gthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
